Here are some frequently asked questions from new members that may help you get more out of your credit union membership

Q - How can I get a password for home banking?
A - If you haven't already set up your account for online access, you'll need to contact us at 800.233.6880 for assistance. If you already have an access code, you can enter your account number and password in the log on screen on our Web site.

Q - I don’t live or work near a BMI office. How or where can I access my account?
A - We have a variety of ways for you to access your account. You can visit BMiWay, our 24/7 home banking service. You can also visit one of more than 3,300 shared branch locations nationwide or any of the 33,000 surcharge free ATM locations. You can find the closest one for you on our Web site with BMiSearch (found in our BMiTools section).

Q - How can I change the amount of my direct deposit?
A - Contact your payroll department for any change to your direct deposit.

Q - I have another person on my checking, how do I get his/her direct deposit started?
A -They will need to contacttheir employer’s payroll department to starttheirDirect Deposit.

Q - What if I leave my current employer?

A - Once you are a member/owner of BMI FCU, you are eligible to always be a member, regardless where you work or live. If you change jobs, just set up your new Direct Deposit to BMI FCU and you are ready to roll.

Q - Can my family members join?
A - Yesthey can! Once you are a member of BMI FCU, any of your family members are eligible for membership. Family members are described as: spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, step-parents, step-children, step-siblings, and adoptive relationships. Non-family members who live in the same household as you do and share household expenses are also eligible for membership.

Q - Is this a good time to transfer over my loans at other financial institutions to BMI?
A - Absolutely! As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, you will likely save a lot of money by transferring all of your loans to BMI. New members save money by transferring car loans, credit cards, mortgage loans, home equity loans, personal loans and more to BMI. Why pay more than you need to? Transfer your loans to BMI FCU and save!

Q - Do you have a Checking Account Switch Kit to help me move my checking account to BMI?
A -Yes we do. It’s our Quick n’ Easy Online Checking Account Switch Kit. It will create and print out all of the forms and letters you need to easily move your checking account to BMI FCU.
